Why tranching?

Tranching is essentially yield distribution, re-engineered. Users can invest in different “tranches” of a yield product portfolio that represents different combinations of risk and reward. 

Waterfall enables more conservative defi users to secure fixed and predictable yields or allow the more risk-tolerant users to “ape in” and leverage their capital for higher potential gains.
